The Consortium Incubation Workshop on India Green Shipping Corridors – Pre-Feasibility Study was held on 28 May 2026 in New Delhi under the Indo-Danish Green Strategic Partnership, bringing together stakeholders from government, ports, shipping, energy, logistics and industry to deliberate on pathways for accelerating maritime decarbonisation and advancing sustainable maritime transport.

The programme featured a Ministerial Address by Hon’ble Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, Special Addresses by Shri Vijay Kumar, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, and H.E. Rasmus Abildgaard Kristensen, Ambassador of Denmark to India.

A key highlight of the workshop was the presentation of findings from the India Green Shipping Corridor Pre-Feasibility Study undertaken by the Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping (MMMCZCS) in collaboration with the Directorate General of Shipping, Indian Ports Association, Danish Maritime Authority and Danish Energy Agency. The study assessed alternative fuel availability, port and bunkering readiness, cargo flows, vessel deployment patterns and enabling policy frameworks to identify potential Green Shipping Corridor opportunities in India.
